1. There are some things you come to believe you can count on: McDonalds being open all the time. NO! This is not so in Belgium. I’m momentarily appalled.

Went to a cool bar tonight to meet up with friends and it was a really good time. :) Happy I unlocked myself from my room to socialize with things other than my computer!

Going to the movies by myself and feeling totally at ease and content about that.
Before coming here, I had never done that and would even wince at the idea. I think cities bring out the strong and independent version of me - or maybe it’s the city’s strong and independent personality that is projecting itself onto me....

Minor Successes Make Me Go (!)
I said a lot of things before coming to Europe. I also daydreamed of many possibilities, but once I got here the follow through was hit and miss.
